Nella biblioteca del Monastero di Montecassino è conservata una grande quantità di preziosi manoscritti e stampe musicali antiche, tra questi la collezione di 6 cantate con violini di Giovanni Bononcini che Il mezzosoprano Emma Alessi Innocenti presenta in questo suo album di debutto accompagnata dall’ensemble L’Armonia della Cetre. Raffinatezza ed espressività sono i due sostantivi che vengono in mente ascoltando queste composizioni nella preziosa interpretazione della Innocenti, una musica finissima destinata all’intrattenimento di altissimo livello del primo Settecento viene riproposto oggi a più di 300 anni di distanza in prima registrazione.
