The Reinecke Trio, composed of Bernardo Bertamini on clarinet, Elena Lorenzoni on viola, and Samuele Masera on piano, was founded in Trento in 2023 and has quickly distinguished itself on both the national and international music scene.
The ensemble is dedicated to exploring the entire repertoire written for this unusual combination of instruments, spanning from Classicism to contemporary music.
The group’s name, “Reinecke,” was chosen in homage to the German composer Carl Reinecke, whose bicentennial was celebrated in 2024. Reinecke dedicated his Trio op. 264 to this chamber formation, which was also the last work he performed live at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, marking the conclusion of his long career.
The Trio has won numerous competitions, including the “Concorso Internazionale Città di Alessandria” in 2023, the “5th Swiss International Music Competition,” and the “World Championship in Music Art.”
In 2024, the ensemble attended the chamber music masterclass led by the Trio di Parma during the 42nd Portogruaro International Music Festival.
The Trio has performed in prestigious venues and festivals, including the Merano Academy, Palazzo de Probizer in Isera, the 18th “Concerti a Palazzo” series in Sacile, the Gondwana Gallery in Berlin, the Grieg-Begegnungsstätte in Leipzig, the Monferrato Classic Festival, Asolo Matinée, and Casa Menotti in Spoleto.
In 2025, the Trio has planned significant debuts in Spain, England, Austria, and the Netherlands, along with concerts in Italy and Germany, continuing many collaborations initiated in the previous year.
A particularly noteworthy milestone is the release of the Trio's debut CD with Novantiqua Records, which will be presented and promoted during performances throughout the year.
The ensemble has also developed a project dedicated to the chamber music of Marco Anzoletti, a late-Romantic composer from Trentino. This initiative includes a series of concerts featuring various chamber music ensembles, aiming to promote the often unpublished and world-premiere works of a composer rooted in their home region, Trentino-Alto Adige.
The Trio has collaborated with Pirastro and Ferrari Music, the exclusive Italian distributor of Vandoren Paris, which added the ensemble to its roster of artists in 2024.
